A review, a review!
My kingdom for a review!
I have tutored NCEA English for nearly 7 years over zoom in the wider bay of plenty area. After finding my own successes in High School, I went on to graduate with a bachelor's degree in English literature and Psychology. Since then I have obtained first-class honours in Psychology and am currently studying for a doctorate in clinical psychology. I also am working part-time teaching undergrad psych at the University of Auckland.
I cater lessons to the individual needs of each student. Focusing on building confidence, a sense of self-efficacy within English and developing critical thinking and communication skills. I have a history of supporting students with learning disabilities to achieve equal success as well as providing my own academic skills to support students wanting extension for scholarships or undergrad. Additionally, I try to make lessons fun and personal with games and a focus on building rapport.
I enjoy reading, roller skating and cinema. In my free time, I volunteer regularly with the anxiety helpline, advocate and consult with students/families with learning disabilities such as ADHD and support young people struggling with mental health.
