A review, a review!
My kingdom for a review!
During my schooling I obtained an NCEA Level 3 excellence endorsement and scholarships in English, History, Classical Studies and Art. I also have a BA in English from Victoria, and am currently completing an Honours degree with UoA. I am available to teach English, History and Classical Studies up to level 3, and Maths and Economics up to level 1, as well as tutoring primary school. I currently volunteer as an English conversation leader, so would be delighted to tutor ESOL as well.
Tutoring should be a collaborative experience, where the student feels confident to shape the session to their needs and not be rushed or bored. Flexibility to the goals, abilities and focuses of students is essential. Whilst teaching I also seek to work with the student's passions to spark interest in the subject, a massive contribution to achievement. I also like to set goals for the sessions with students in order to provide a sense of structure and feeling of progress.
I live centrally, and am able to travel to you if necessarily. Preferred meeting spots are public places, such as libraries, or pupils' homes if they prefer.
Your enquiry has gone straight to the tutor's inbox (and a copy to yours). You should recieve a reply ASAP, usually within 24 hours.
We recommend you contact three tutors, as this tutor may not be able to fit into your schedule. See here for tips on finalising an arrangement with a tutor.
For lesson payments, your tutor will bill you directly via email. No cash required – debit or credit cards are accepted at no extra charge.
