My Experience

I've delivered over 400 hours of lessons in the past 1.5 years, mainly for high school students. I'm also beginning to tutor mathematics at first year university level too. Some of my achievements include being the highest scorer in my school's 70-student cohort for IB HL Maths, and achieving a 91 WAM at Melb Uni which qualifies for the Dean's Honours List (top 3% of all Commerce students).

How I'd Tutor You

I reach out to students before lessons to see if there's anything in particular they want to go through, and I create problem sets (or modify existing ones) tailored to helping students understand the concepts they nominate as challenging. Speed, accuracy and intuition come naturally with strong theoretical understanding, which is why I work through these problem sets with students before moving onto exam-style questions. The success of this method has been reflected in my ex-students' grades!

A little bit more about me

I love maths and teaching maths. I encourage students to develop a curiosity beyond what's examinable. Will need an extra $5/hour to travel outside Melb CBD/Carlton/North Melb due to travel and time cost.
