A review, a review!
My kingdom for a review!
A* for A level Chemistry and Physics, A for Maths and Biology. Currently in my first year of a Bachelor of Optometry, I completed my first year of a Biomedical Sciences degree with excellent grades. I have a lot of tutoring experience, and have taught specifically Cambridge subjects over the past three years, and I am currently working at the University of Auckland as a physics tutor for first years. I've helped a lot of students achieve high grades after a year of C's and D's.
My teaching style tends to be focused on building up students knowledge from the ground up. I fill in gaps and place a lot of emphasis on understanding instead of rote learning, which is the key to good grades. I aim for students to play an active part in lessons, so I constantly test the things they've just learned with problems and examples. This prepares them for doing it themselves and fixing the concepts in their heads, as well as assuring plenty communication.
I love ridiculously spicy food, tramping and rock climbing in no particular order. I also really like cycling and it will be my preferred method of getting to you, but if it's very far I charge a travel fee of $5. I am also free every day after 5PM.
