I have been tutoring at my school for the past two years now in Maths (calculus) and Chemistry. I'm a prefect for our school and find it easy to communicate and give advice to others. I endorsed with excellence last year (Level two NCEA) in all seven of my subjects; english, calculus, physics, biology, chemistry, P.E and R.E. I also completed the year with over 130 excellence credits, receiving the Top Scholar award at my school for the past two years running with a GPA of appx 97%.
It's helpful when a student brings a particular question or topic they have been struggling with. I'd firstly ask how the student usually studies and their general approach to learning, then I'd run through the question at a pace that fits the student and the relevant concepts and theories needed to answer that question. I find teaching a logical way to approach challenging questions helps build confidence for taking future tests/exams.
I'm quite flexible with my times available, feel free to ask me any questions!
