A review, a review!
My kingdom for a review!
I am in my final semester of a Bachelor of Arts, about to go into Honours. I am a published writer, having received a Glenfern Fellowship from Writers Victoria, an Artist in Residence scholarship from Resartis, and a Scientific Journalism internship at Baker IDI Institute. I teach Mainstream English, EAL, English Language, Literatures, Histories, Music and Psychology to VCE Level. Maths and Science to Year 10 level. I offer also tutor in exam-taking, hand-writing, and spelling and grammar.
I like to follow a three-pronged approach: 1. conversation and discussion about the set text (good practice for oral presentations and thinking on your feet in class discussions or pop quizzes); 2. going over your previous work, highlighting good arguments, phrasing and structure, and identifying what and how to improve; 3. reading high achieving work, modelling the language and sophistication of arguments that will improve marks. My style is conversational, social, and positive minded.
I edit the creative section of Lot's Wife, publish for the Monash Creative Writers, and emcee spoken word nights at the student theatre. I am available Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in the mornings, Friday afternoons and all day on the weekends.
Your enquiry has gone straight to the tutor's inbox (and a copy to yours). You should recieve a reply ASAP, usually within 24 hours.
We recommend you contact three tutors, as this tutor may not be able to fit into your schedule. See here for tips on finalising an arrangement with a tutor.
